Details
Geophysical investigations are based upon the analysis of the variations of physical properties within materials of e.g. soil, rock concrete. They can be investigated with ‘Non-Destructive’ methods, such as electrical, radar, magnetic, and seismic. Sections and maps of prospected volumes can lead to identify cavities, discontinuities, structural elements, and assess conditions and internal architecture of materials.
Prospection types
- Geo-electrical prospections
- Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
- Sonic tomography
- Seismic refraction and reflection techniques
- Geophysical logs
- Down-hole and cross-hole tests
