About this work:
Structural monitoring system on the Pistolesa Bridge, which connects the municipalities of Veglio and Valdilana (BI), to monitor any deformations induced on the structure by a landslide near the foundation of pier 5
Three piers of the bridge (piers 3-4-5) and four decks (decks 3-4-5-6) have been instrumented, each with one biaxial clinometer.
Each sensor is connected to a wireless data logger that acquires and stores the readings.
The latter are then sent to a centralization unit (gateway), enabling data transmission via GSM/GPRS network to the FTP of the system's management platform.
